Employee Spotlight – Nicole Miller

Tell us a little about yourself….
I am 32 years old, from Queens, NY. I moved to South Florida in 2012 and immediately began recruiting. In 2020, I married my husband and we have three dogs we are weirdly obsessed with – Eli, Archie and Mia. Eli and Archie are named after Archie and Eli Manning

How has your career grown since starting at Marcum Search?
I realized that being a manager or overseeing other people doesn’t make you a leader – working at the highest capacity, respecting each team member, acting with urgency and placing people is really enough and working at Marcum taught me how important every employee’s role is throughout the entirety of the recruiting and hiring process.

Three words to describe myself…
Urgent, enthusiastic, caring (too much lol)

My perfect day is…
I love being home. I spent a lot of time and energy creating this world that is mine and I love being in it.

Advice for my 16 year old self…
It isn’t that bad – these are the days you should enjoy.

Lucky to have everything I ever wanted

The person who had the biggest impact on my life is…
My grandmother – she died in 09 but every and any decision I make, I first think if she would approve

In my career I am most proud of…
I work really hard. Every day.

A funny or memorable experience from your career or personal life?
In 2016 or 2017 I was interviewing a candidate for a warehouse position, and he showed up to my office soaking wet, in flip flops and a cap. He was so soaked the facility staff had to use almost every towel to soak up his mess. When asked what the deal was he said, oh I am fishing with my dad and going back after this meeting.
